PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

The objective of the Digital ID for Inclusion and Services Project is to establish an inclusive digital ID ecosystem and improve service delivery for registered persons in Ethiopia.

PROJECT INFO:

• COMPONENT 1: BUILDING INSTITUTIONS AND TRUST This component includes three subcomponents:  - supporting stakeholder engagement and communications,  - establishing and operationalizing the ID Institution,  - establishing and operationalizing the Data Protection Commission of Ethiopia.
  

• COMPONENT 2: ESTABLISHING SCALABLE AND SECURE FAYDA ICT INFRASTRUCTURE This component includes three subcomponents:  - supporting the design, development and maintenance of appropriate software for Fayda,  - supporting development of data infrastructure, - strengthening digital security.
  

• COMPONENT 3: INCLUSIVE ID ISSUANCE This component includes three subcomponents:  - supporting mass registration and issuance of physical IDs to Ethiopian residents,  - supporting mass registration and issuance of physical IDs to Ethiopian residents in host communities and refugees,  - supporting integration of Fayda and digital civil registration.
  

• COMPONENT 4: IMPROVING SERVICE DELIVERY This component includes two subcomponents:  - supporting the integration of Fayda  - developing an Ethiopia digital stack.
  

Goods

• Supply and Installation of End-to-End Systems Integration for Fayda and associated Services (including data center equipment)

• Procurement of 35 million pre-personalized cards,

• Supply and installation of ABIS software and License, plus tech support, training,

• Supply of Digital ID Registration kits,

• Supply and installation of FAYDA Encode v.2 and License, plus tech support, training

Consulting Services:

• Consultancy service that provides technical assistance to NIDP and have expertise on the Civil registration process,

• Consultancy service for call center management,

• Communications firm contract for market research, planning, and development of content for TV/Radio/Digital content communications.
